Former NASCAR star Danica Patrick boldly declared her patriotic beliefs at a recent event for Donald Trump and J.D. Vance, revealing she’s done staying silent about her support. Patrick, who made headlines in December 2023 at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, opened up about her decision to be more vocal about her values. At AmericaFest, she posted photos and videos with conservative commentators like Brandon Tatum and Tucker Carlson. The reactions were swift—and not all positive.
Many voiced their disappointment in Patrick’s posts, with one viewer even stating they had “lost all respect” for her, calling her attendance “super disappointing.” Another commenter went as far as to say they were “horrified” and “speechless” over the photos.
“I won’t be judged for it. In fact, instead of quieting down, I’m going to get louder,” Patrick stated.
Inspired by Family to Attend AmericaFest
Patrick shared more about her AmericaFest experience in a video posted to X, explaining that her father’s interest in politics inspired her to attend the event.
“The lineup of speakers was just so stellar, and I thought, ‘This looks fun. I’m local.’ So I said to my dad, ‘Hey, Dad, you want to go,’ because he’s been into politics since forever. And he said, ‘You know what. You should bring your sister,’” she explained.
Patrick’s Patriotic Red Theme Draws Criticism
The photos that drew such strong reactions featured Patrick with her sister. Embracing a red theme, she shared:
“So my sister flew out. We had a great time. I posted a bunch of pictures. And I’m not going to lie; red is my favorite color. I don’t wear it because I’m Republican, I wear it because it is my favorite color, it just works well”
Refusing to Be Silenced
Patrick closed by expressing that her support of America and desire to make it “great again” shouldn’t invite judgment. Her rallying cry was straightforward:
“I will not be judged for living in America, being an American, being a proud American, saying I love America, and wanting to make America great again. I won’t be judged for it. In fact, instead of quieting down, I’m going to get louder.”
Responding to Critics
Attached to her video post was the powerful caption: “I love America. Let’s make it great again,” echoing her original post from December. As with her previous statements, the response was swift and mixed. One reader commented, “Can you tell us why you support a felon?” while another added, “Oh you will be judged.”
Despite the criticism, Patrick hasn’t revealed whether she’ll make additional appearances, but it’s clear she’s resolved to continue championing her beliefs.
