A dramatic account shared on social media is raising fresh questions about the United States operation that led to the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. According to a man who claims he was stationed at the Caracas military base during the raid, American forces used advanced technology, including what he described as a sonic weapon, to overwhelm Venezuelan troops.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt amplified the testimony by reposting the interview on X, encouraging the public to read the witness statement for themselves. Her decision quickly fueled speculation online about the tactics used during the mission.
Radar Collapse and Drone Swarm

In the interview, the supposed guard recounts the moment the assault began.
“We were on guard, but suddenly all our radar systems shut down without any explanation,” the witness said.
“The next thing we saw were drones, a lot of drones, flying over our positions. We didn’t know how to react.”
He says the confusion deepened as roughly twenty U.S. soldiers descended from about eight helicopters, moving with precision across the base.
“Technologically Very Advanced”
The witness insists the American team operated with tools and tactics he had never encountered.
Although the base reportedly had hundreds of personnel on duty, he says the Venezuelan forces were instantly outmatched.
“We were hundreds, but we had no chance,” he said. “They were shooting with such precision and speed; it felt like each soldier was firing 300 rounds per minute.”
Alleged Use of Sonic Weapon

As the confrontation escalated, the man claims U.S. forces deployed a device that unleashed a debilitating blast.
“At one point, they launched something; I don’t know how to describe it,” he said. “It was like a very intense sound wave. Suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside.”
He described troops collapsing in seconds.
“We all started bleeding from the nose,” he added. “Some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move. We couldn’t even stand up after that sonic weapon — or whatever it was.”
“Killed Hundreds of Us”
The witness insists the American unit sustained no losses while inflicting devastating casualties.
“Those twenty men, without a single casualty, killed hundreds of us,” the witness claimed. “We had no way to compete with their technology, with their weapons. I swear, I’ve never seen anything like it.”
U.S. Officials Stay Silent
Neither the White House nor the Pentagon has confirmed whether the United States used drones capable of disabling radar systems or any form of sonic or directed-energy weapon during the operation. Both declined to respond when asked about the authenticity of the account shared by Leavitt.
