UK Prime Minister’s Plot to “Kill Musk’s Twitter” Exposed by Whistleblower

Date:

In a bombshell revelation, a whistleblower has exposed internal documents from a nonprofit focused on combating “digital hate,” showing its explicit goal to dismantle Elon Musk’s X platform, formerly known as Twitter. These leaked documents indicate that the U.S.-based Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), which operates as a British charity, has made it a priority to “Kill Musk’s Twitter.”

Leaked Documents Show a Clear Target

According to the leaked materials, the organization outlined “Kill Musk’s Twitter” as a strategic priority for the year in documents dating from January, March, and October 2024. Other goals included pushing “advertising focus,” triggering “EU & UK regulatory action,” and making “progress towards change in USA.”

Reporters Paul Thacker and Matt Taibbi, who have been investigating the nonprofit, released additional screenshots revealing the group’s ongoing efforts to discuss policy with Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s team. They even sought a “quote/press release endorsement” from the senator, with a meeting already scheduled.

Inside the Private Strategy Conference

Thacker further disclosed that the nonprofit held a private conference with liberal representatives actively working against Musk. This exclusive gathering reportedly included guests such as members of President Joe Biden’s administration, officials from Congressman Adam Schiff’s office, Biden State Department representatives, Canadian Member of Parliament Peter Julian, and members from Media Matters for America.

In response to the leaked revelations, Elon Musk’s reaction was swift and direct.

Musk stated, “This is war.”

Fundraising Off Musk’s Legal Battles

The CCDH has leveraged its high-profile conflict with Musk to fuel its fundraising efforts. A prominent section of its website highlights a legal victory against Musk, with the group calling for donations by stating, “Fighting Elon Musk’s lawsuit has cost us thousands of dollars. … Help us get back on track.”

Additionally, the CCDH openly emphasizes its belief that platforms like X and their owners must be “held accountable for enabling the spread of hate and misinformation.”

Push for Boycotts and Misinformation Campaigns

One of the most vocal supporters of a full-scale advertising boycott is Canadian MP Peter Julian, who recently called for businesses to pull their ads from Musk’s platform. Julian didn’t mince words when he wrote, “Boycott all advertisers on Twitter. Mute all ads. Let’s end the nightmare that is an far right extremist hate speech billionaire controlling this social media platform.”

The nonprofit’s aggressive stance doesn’t stop with advertisers. It has launched several campaigns aimed at holding X accountable for what it deems failures in content moderation. One such campaign, dubbed “X Content Moderation Failure,” accuses Musk’s platform of not removing 86% of flagged “hateful posts” within a week.

In its criticism, the CCDH pointed out that advertisements for household brands like Apple and Disney were being shown alongside hate speech, further amplifying its concerns.

Additional Accusations Against Social Media Giants

The organization’s critiques extend beyond X. In its “abusing women in politics” report, the CCDH highlighted 1,000 abusive comments targeting female politicians on Instagram, stating that Meta took no action against 926 of these hateful remarks.

Moreover, the group accuses various platforms of enabling climate disinformation, alleging that content producers are profiting by spreading falsehoods about climate change. The CCDH claims it is part of a “sensible majority” striving to avert climate disaster, though it finds itself battling a torrent of disinformation aimed at delaying crucial environmental action.

As these revelations unfold, the battle lines between Elon Musk and those opposing him grow increasingly sharp, with both sides digging in for what looks to be a prolonged and contentious fight over the future of online discourse.
