Sylvester Stallone has traded the chaos of Los Angeles for the sun-soaked calm of Palm Beach, and now he’s giving fans an intimate look inside his waterfront estate.
In the September/October cover story of Veranda, the 77-year-old actor and his wife Jennifer Flavin revealed how they knew they had found their dream home.
“We looked at some of the houses built after COVID, and they were monstrosities,” Stallone explained. “Monumental structures, but none of them embraced you or made you feel warm. You felt as though you were in a hotel lobby.”
The couple eventually found a property built in 2014, boasting soaring ceilings and enormous windows that bathe the home in Florida sunshine. Flavin admitted what won her over was simple: it was “a livable size.”
A House That Feels Like Home
Stallone echoed her sentiment, noting the residence “doesn’t have eight living rooms for no reason.” From the moment they stepped inside, “it automatically felt inviting,” he said.
“I’ve always made every house we’ve ever had a home,” Flavin added. “I don’t care if someone spills something. I can replace the rug or get it cleaned. We have three dogs and a cat and lots of children. Nothing we own is precious. Our family is precious, but the material things are not precious.”
Private Beach and Rocky Relics
The Palm Beach property stands out for one extraordinary reason, according to designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard: it is the only house in the area with its very own private beach.
Inside, a theater room pays tribute to Stallone’s legendary career. It holds rare memorabilia, from the knife used in First Blood, to the robe he wore in Rocky, and even the original Academy Award-nominated screenplay he wrote for the iconic boxing saga.
“The screening room definitely has a theme,” Stallone said. “It’s about where I came from.”
Art, Fitness, and Family Memories
Beyond the cinema, the estate includes a gym, a luxury primary suite, a stylish bar, and a unique keyhole-shaped pool framed by tall palms and manicured lawns.
One room houses portraits of Stallone painted by Andy Warhol during the Rocky III era, while other walls showcase works by LeRoy Neiman. Neiman famously swapped his art for an on-screen role as a ring announcer in the Rocky movies.
“I consider it like a wardrobe,” Stallone said of his vast art collection.
“You can only wear the same shirt so many times before you go, ‘God, I’d like to see if this other color works [with it].’
“With art, you can take a piece that you’ve become … maybe not blasé about, but you’re not exactly overwhelmed by it anymore. You move that piece to another room, now you’re invigorated. It’s like furniture: messing around, moving it around, constantly restimulating our minds.”
From Hollywood Hills to Florida Shores
The couple’s relocation was first revealed during season two of their reality show The Family Stallone, which premiered in February 2024.
“After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently,” Stallone told his daughters Scarlet, Sistine, and Sophia on camera. “And, we’re going to Florida.”
Flavin admitted it was a difficult but necessary step. Their home had become “an empty nest” after their children moved out, and she wanted a fresh start. Stallone later confessed, “it’s not an easy transition to Florida,” but said his wife “really had her heart set on it,” so he ultimately “gave in.”
A Love Story with a Rocky Past
The couple, married for more than 25 years, nearly split in 2022 when Flavin filed for divorce. But they reconciled shortly after and have since appeared stronger than ever.
Now, their Florida retreat is more than just a house. It is a place filled with family memories, cinematic history, and the serenity of an oceanfront escape.
