Nick Cannon Opens Up About Partying with Diddy as a Teenager: ‘I Got Nothing to Hide’

Date:

Nick Cannon has joined the list of celebrities sharing stories about attending Sean “Diddy” Combs’ infamous parties. Speaking candidly on “The Breakfast Club” radio show, Cannon revealed that he partied with Diddy as a teenager.

“I’ve even been to one when I was a kid … 16-17 [years old],” Cannon, now 44, recalled during the interview. He reflected on those early days, saying, “I live my truth. I remember standing outside … trying to get into a Puff party out here in New York.”

Cannon’s reflections bring a new layer of intrigue to the long-standing image of Diddy’s parties. The former host of “The Masked Singer” emphasized that while he had attended these gatherings, he didn’t witness the more scandalous activities that have since been associated with the rapper.

Diddy Faces New Charges

In the interview, Cannon also highlighted that the events he attended were far from the notorious “freak offs” allegedly hosted by Diddy, who was charged with multiple crimes last month, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.

“Everybody gets scared to talk … because they got something to hide. … I ain’t got nothing to hide. … I was in there Harlem-shaking, doing all of that stuff. But it wasn’t — c’mon now,” Cannon explained.

He was quick to distance himself from any illegal activities, maintaining that he simply enjoyed the music and dancing.

Cannon further compared Diddy’s parties to the iconic “One More Chance” music video by Notorious B.I.G. “How the ‘One More Chance’ video looked … that was real stuff out here. People standing at the door. … Bad Boy parties was official in the late ‘90s,” he noted, painting a vivid picture of the exclusive nature of these events.

Cannon Defends His Past Amid Ongoing Investigation

Cannon’s revelations come at a time when Diddy faces serious legal challenges. The rapper was arrested on Sept. 16, charged with sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, as well as transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy entered a not guilty plea shortly after the indictment was unsealed, detailing his alleged involvement in a criminal enterprise.

Authorities claim that Diddy used his businesses, including Bad Boy Entertainment and Combs Global, as vehicles for his crimes. He and his associates allegedly used “firearms, threats of violence, coercion and verbal, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse” to control his victims, according to the indictment.

Despite the gravity of the allegations, Cannon insists he has “nothing to hide.” He expressed frustration that many people shy away from discussing their experiences. “Everybody gets scared to talk … because they got something to hide. … I ain’t got nothing to hide.”

Diddy’s Legal Battle Moves Forward

As Diddy prepares to face trial, new developments continue to emerge. During a recent court hearing, Judge Arun Subramanian scheduled the trial to begin on May 5. Prosecutors expect the trial to last three weeks, while Diddy’s defense team estimates they’ll need only one week to present their case.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the possibility of additional charges looms, which could extend the trial even further. As this high-profile case unfolds, the public will be watching closely to see how the charges against Diddy, once an untouchable figure in the music industry, play out.

Reps for Cannon have not yet commented on his statements, but it’s clear that his reflections on his youth are adding a fresh layer of complexity to the ongoing story surrounding Diddy’s legal troubles.

The upcoming months will reveal more as Diddy faces these serious accusations, but for now, Cannon is standing firm, unafraid to share his truth.

With a history of rubbing shoulders with major industry figures, Cannon’s personal account offers a glimpse into the past while Diddy’s future remains uncertain amid his mounting legal challenges.
