Date:

According to sources, the driver had allegedly consumed a staggering 16 shots at a local bar before getting behind the wheel.

Newly released footage by Texas authorities has revealed a gripping tale of bravery and justice, as a quick-thinking Good Samaritan took down a drunken driver who tried to escape after causing a fatal crash. The incident, which took place in Lake Worth, Texas in November of 2021, resulted in the tragic death of off-duty Euless Police Detective Alex Cervantes, while his wife and two children were left injured and shaken.

You f–king killed somebody, you motherf–ker!!!!

The shocking video, recently obtained by Fox 4 Dallas, captures the horrific aftermath of the crash, as 26-year-old Dylan Molina, under the influence, slammed his rented Jeep into a white sedan at an alarming speed. Attempting to flee the scene, Molina was confronted by a brave citizen who chased him down while shouting profanities and demanding that he stop. The culprit eventually fell to the ground, where he was apprehended and physically restrained.

Our hearts go out to the loved ones of Detective Cervantes and we hope that justice will be served for this senseless tragedy.

A recent arrest has shed light on the reckless actions of local bartender Cala Richardson, who is now facing charges in connection with a fatal crash that claimed the life of off-duty Detective Alex Cervantes. According to reports, Richardson is being charged with a misdemeanor offense for allegedly overserving 26-year-old Dylan Molina, the driver responsible for the devastating incident.

The extent of Richardson’s negligence is truly shocking, with authorities revealing that she had allegedly served Molina an astonishing eight double vodka Red Bull cocktails and 16 single shots in just a three-hour period on the morning of the crash. Lake Worth Police Chief J.T. Manoushagian expressed his disbelief at the bartender’s actions.

In January, Dylan Molina entered a guilty plea for the charge of intoxication manslaughter, acknowledging his culpability for the devastating crash that resulted in the tragic loss of Detective Alex Cervantes. As a consequence of his actions, Molina has been sentenced to a term of 15 years in prison, highlighting the severity of his offense.

The tragic consequences of Richardson’s irresponsible behavior serve as a sobering reminder of the importance of responsible alcohol service and the critical role that bartenders play in ensuring public safety. As authorities work to bring justice to those affected by this senseless tragedy, we must all reflect on the dangers of reckless behavior and do our part to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
