Buffalo Wild Wings’ Perfect Response to ‘Boneless Wings’ Lawsuit Results in Swift Action by Judge

Date:

Buffalo Wild Wings has offered a humorous response to a class-action lawsuit that challenges the restaurant’s assertion that it serves “boneless wings.” The lawsuit was brought by Aimen Halim, a Chicago man who claims that Buffalo Wild Wings engaged in false advertising and deceptive business practices by serving “slices of chicken breast meat deep-fried like wings” instead of actual wings.

Halim alleges that he suffered a financial injury as a result of the chain’s “false and deceptive conduct”

Halim alleges that he suffered a financial injury as a result of the chain’s “false and deceptive conduct” and that he would not have purchased the product if he had known the truth. The lawsuit also suggests that other patrons may have been similarly misled.

According to the lawsuit, “consumers should be able to rely on the plain meaning of a product’s name and receive what they are promised.”

Buffalo Wild Wings responded to the lawsuit by confirming that its “boneless wings” are not actually wings. The restaurant chain, which boasts nearly 1,300 locations, used humor to address the situation. In a tweet, the company stated, “It’s true. Our boneless wings are all white meat chicken. Our hamburgers contain no ham. Our buffalo wings are 0% buffalo.”
