Benjamin Satterley, the English professional wrestler known as Pac, has died at 40, All Elite Wrestling announced Sunday night. The announcement came just one day after he challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship at All Out in Chicago.
His career spanned more than two decades, taking him from Newcastle upon Tyne to championship matches in WWE and AEW. However, the circumstances surrounding his death remained unclear at the time of the announcement.
AEW Pays Tribute To Pac

AEW confirmed Satterley’s death in a social media statement, remembering the athletic ability that brought him recognition around the world.
“All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac,” the company said.
“A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.
“Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”
Championship Match Preceded Death Announcement
Only a day before AEW shared the news, Pac competed at Saturday’s All Out event in Chicago. He challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship.
Meanwhile, the supplied report said requests for comment went to Chicago police, Hoffman Estates police, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. It included no responses from those agencies.
AEW’s announcement did not give a cause of death, leaving the circumstances unresolved.
A Career Across WWE And AEW

Satterley began wrestling in 2004 and later competed in WWE under the name Adrian Neville. During that chapter of his career, he won the cruiserweight championship twice, the NXT championship once and the NXT tag team championship twice.
He then joined AEW in 2019, becoming one of the promotion’s earliest signings. His championship record there included two trios title reigns and the inaugural all-Atlantic championship.
Across both promotions, his high-flying style defined his presence in the ring. AEW’s farewell statement reflected that legacy while extending condolences to the family, friends and fans he left behind.
