Biden’s Re-election Hopes Shattered: Shocking New Poll Reveals Even Democrats Are Divided

Date:

A new CNN poll delivers a brutal blow to President Joe Biden’s re-election hopes, revealing that a staggering 67% of Americans do not believe he “deserves” to be re-elected.

Even among registered voters, only 36% think he should be re-elected, while a majority of 63% do not. Shockingly, the results are not much better among Democrats, with a majority of Democratic and Democratic-leaning independent voters believing that someone else should be the Democratic Party’s 2024 nominee. Only 44% want Biden, while 54% do not. The sentiment is so strong that among those who want a different candidate, 69% said they do not care who it is, as long as it is not Biden.

With such dismal poll results, will President Biden be able to regain the trust and support of the American public before the next election cycle?

“Beyond sobering.” stated John King, CNN anchor.

The latest CNN poll results have dealt a severe blow to President Joe Biden’s morale, as even the anchor John King put it, they are “beyond sobering.” King analyzed the poll results and highlighted the deep doubts that many Americans have about Biden’s performance and the country’s direction under his leadership.

“It is April 2023, so a long way to November 2024. But these numbers serve as an early campaign baseline, and they are telling about your mood and the challenges facing the 80-year-old incumbent,” said King. With these poll results revealing such a significant shift in public opinion, can the Biden administration implement policies and strategies to regain the trust and confidence of the American public before the next election?

As President Joe Biden gears up for his re-election campaign, a new CNN poll also sheds light on former President Donald Trump’s potential candidacy. The poll found that a slim majority of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, 52%, want Trump to be the Republican Party’s nominee for the third consecutive presidential election cycle.

This is a significant increase from December 2022 when only 38% of Republicans wanted Trump to run again. However, 47% of respondents hope for a different candidate. Among those who want an alternative candidate, 54% said they are willing to support any candidate, while 28% are hoping for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to get the nomination.
