As post-election analysis unfolds, a surprising figure emerges as a key player in Donald Trump’s victory—his youngest son, Barron Trump. Former Democratic donor John Morgan has attributed the campaign’s success in part to Barron’s strategic suggestion: leveraging popular podcasts to connect with voters.
“Go on Joe Rogan”: Barron Trump’s Winning Advice
Morgan, founder of the law firm Morgan & Morgan, spoke candidly on Wednesday, highlighting Barron Trump’s pivotal influence. “It turns out that Barron Trump, who looks like a runway model, was telling his father, ‘You need to go on podcasts, you need to go on Joe Rogan,’” Morgan stated.
This push for appearances on influential platforms like The Joe Rogan Experience helped Donald Trump tap into diverse audiences. Trump’s October 25th feature on Rogan’s podcast has garnered over 50 million views on YouTube—a stark contrast to Vice President Kamala Harris’ October 6th appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, which has yet to hit 1 million views.
Harris Campaign Misses the Mark
Morgan didn’t hold back when critiquing Harris’ team for failing to capitalize on similar opportunities.
“Barron Trump is a lot smarter than everybody in the Harris [campaign],” Morgan added.
“The progressives didn’t want to go on Joe Rogan.”
The reluctance of Harris’ team to engage with unconventional media platforms has drawn significant criticism. Morgan bluntly remarked, “They played hide the ball, they lost badly, she should go away and never, ever come back.”
A Misguided Obama Impression?
Beyond strategic missteps, Morgan also accused Harris of unsuccessfully emulating former President Barack Obama, who actively campaigned for her. “[Harris] thinks she’s Obama,” Morgan said. “She goes to Hawaii since Obama goes to Hawaii. She started talking like Obama, imitating Obama. She is not Barack Obama. She has no talent. She can never run for president again.”
Morgan’s criticism underscores a broader sentiment about Harris’ political future. As a former Democratic donor, his stance carries weight among party insiders.
Tethered to Biden’s Legacy
Reflecting on Harris’ campaign trajectory, Morgan voiced concerns about her attachment to the Biden administration. “She was going to be tethered to Biden no matter what,” he concluded, reinforcing the challenges Harris faced in defining her own path.
