Oscar Wendel

Oscar Wendel is Executive Director – Middle East at the Global Economic Sustainable Development Commission (GESDC), a U.S.-based organization advancing ethical finance and frontier technologies. Based in Dubai, he is the founder and Chairman of Global Stratalogues, a think tank that hosts high-level roundtables in collaboration with institutions such as the UK Parliament, Qatar Financial Centre, and the French Ministry of Economy. A former journalist who reported from Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan, Oscar has held senior roles at the Financial Times in London, Dubai World Trade Centre, and was Global Director of Conferences at MCH Group in Basel. He currently serves as an advisor to Karrier One, a decentralized telecom company focused on expanding global connectivity.
