A frantic search is underway in Texas after a 19-year-old woman vanished outside her San Antonio home early Christmas Eve morning, leaving her family desperate for answers and clinging to hope.
Camila Mendoza Olmos was last seen around 6:58 a.m. Wednesday outside her residence in the 11000 block of Caspian Spring, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. She left without her phone or vehicle, an absence that immediately raised alarm bells for those who know her routine best.
A Routine Walk That Ended in Silence
According to deputies, Camila’s disappearance began with what appeared to be an ordinary morning.
“Camila’s mother stated that Camila normally goes for a morning walk; however, she became concerned when Camila did not return within a reasonable period of time,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
That concern quickly turned into fear.
Surveillance footage from the area captured moments just before Camila vanished, adding another layer of mystery to the case.
“Video footage from that time shows an unknown individual, believed to be Camila, searching inside her vehicle for an unidentified item. Moments later, the footage ends. It is believed that she left the residence on foot, as her vehicle remained at the location,” deputies added. “The only items known to be on her person are her car key and possibly her driver’s license.”
A Mother’s Panic and a Family’s Plea

Camila’s mother, Rosario Olmos, realized something was wrong when she tried to reach her daughter and found the phone untouched.
“I called her cell phone, but the cell phone was there on the bed and it was turned off,” she said.
Hoping this time would be no different from past mornings, Rosario searched the neighborhood herself.
“I put it to charge and went out to look for her. I thought I would find her like other times, walking, and we would come home together,” she said.
Her words soon turned into a prayer.
“I only ask God to please bring her back home,” Rosario Olmos added. “Bring her back to me.”
Search Efforts Intensify Across the Area
Authorities say Camila Mendoza Olmos, 19, stands about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a baby blue and black hoodie, baby blue pajama bottoms, and white shoes.
“It is believed that she left the residence on foot, as her vehicle remained at the location,” the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said.
Family members have refused to wait quietly.
Camila’s relatives, joined by more than 100 volunteers, have been combing nearby neighborhoods and surrounding areas in an effort to find any sign of her, according to local reports.
A Father’s Pain and a Community on Edge

For Camila’s father, the uncertainty has been overwhelming.
“It’s been real hard,” her father, Alfonso Mendoza, said.
As days pass with no confirmed sightings, the case continues to weigh heavily on the family and the broader San Antonio community. Investigators urge anyone with information about Camila Mendoza Olmos or her whereabouts to contact local authorities immediately.
