A senior official from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has blown the whistle on a system he claims allows millions of illegal immigrants to receive Social Security numbers, access public benefits, and even find their way onto voter rolls across several U.S. states.
In a revealing conversation on the “All In” podcast, Antonio Gracias, a high-ranking DOGE insider, laid bare the troubling mechanics of what he described as an organized loophole threatening federal resources and electoral integrity.
A Loophole Through Asylum Applications
Gracias detailed how many illegal immigrants who entered the U.S. during the Biden-Harris administration were granted Social Security numbers through a system linked to asylum claims and work permits.
“So now you’re in the country with some quasi-legal status, you’re waiting for your court date, while you’re waiting for your court date, six years is the average by the way, it could be longer than that, you can fill out an asylum application, so without an interview, just an application,” he explained.
This process, Gracias noted, quickly escalates. “Once that application is in, you can file another form, a 765 [form] to get work authorization, once you get that, you get a 766 which is the authorization and we automatically send you a Social Security card in the mail. No interview, that is the majority of the growth you see in these numbers,” Gracias added.
DOGE’s internal investigation revealed that formal identification checks are absent from this process, raising serious concerns about national security and benefit fraud.
Alarming Numbers and Unchecked Access
According to Gracias, nearly 25% of the illegal immigrants reviewed were never fingerprinted by Border Patrol agents, bypassing essential security steps. This oversight has led to staggering consequences.
Gracias disclosed, “Every benefit program we looked at was being accessed by these people. 1.3 million of them are on Medicaid right now, today. And by the way, it’s just ramping.”
Official data reviewed by DOGE underscores the surge in non-citizen Social Security numbers:
- 270,425 issued in 2021
- 590,193 in 2022
- 964,163 in 2023
- 2,095,247 in 2024
Voter Fraud Concerns on the Rise
In a disturbing turn, DOGE discovered that many of these individuals had also infiltrated voter rolls.
“We looked at voter rolls and we found that thousands are registered to vote in friendly states,” Gracias said.
“And we looked even further in those friendly states and found that many of those people had actually voted. It was shocking to us. If I hadn’t seen this with my own eyes, I wouldn’t believe it … it is shockingly bad.”
Security Threats Beyond Voting
Gracias also confirmed that some individuals registered to vote shared names with entries on the federal Terror Watch List, and others had criminal histories. This finding has intensified scrutiny over the integrity of both public benefits and electoral systems.
Several states, including Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Virginia, and Ohio, have already taken steps to purge non-citizens from their voter rolls. However, the full extent of the issue across the country remains uncertain.
Political Fallout and Pushback
The revelations have sparked intense debate about illegal immigration, the allocation of taxpayer resources, and the sanctity of U.S. elections.
Gracias, once a donor to Democratic campaigns, admitted, “Yeah, I think this was a move to import voters.”
Despite significant resistance, especially from Democratic lawmakers, the Department of Government Efficiency continues to stand by its findings, determined to keep the public informed.
Gracias affirmed the department’s commitment: “DOGE found that immigration gave a work authorization document to illegals just five months after they…”
With national stakes this high, the fallout from these findings is far from over.
