Trump Confirms Support for Sweeping Deportation Effort, Declares ‘TRUE!!’ to Emergency Plan

Date:

President-elect Donald Trump has reaffirmed his commitment to tackling illegal immigration by preparing a sweeping deportation operation set to begin immediately upon his inauguration. His confirmation of plans to declare a national emergency and utilize military assets underscores the administration’s determination to address what Trump has called the “Biden invasion.”

Trump Responds: ‘TRUE!!’

Trump took to Truth Social to endorse claims made by Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, who stated that the incoming administration is “prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program.”

“TRUE!!” Trump responded emphatically.

A Historic Promise in Motion

Mass deportations have been a cornerstone of Trump’s 2024 campaign, with promises to emulate the “Eisenhower Model” for domestic deportation. In a September statement,

Trump declared:
“Following the Eisenhower Model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”

Trump also pledged to invoke the Alien Enemies Act to target gang members, drug dealers, and cartel operatives, coordinating with multiple government agencies to implement the operation. Building on these commitments, the administration is reportedly exploring expanded detention capacities.

Leveraging Military Power for Border Security

In addition to deportation plans, Trump has signaled his readiness to deploy troops to the southern border and implement a “fentanyl blockade” using naval forces. While military assets have previously supported border security efforts, their use in deportation operations would mark a significant escalation.

Key Appointments to Drive Immigration Policy

The transition team has already announced strategic appointments to spearhead these initiatives. Former acting ICE Director Tom Homan has been named “border czar,” tasked with overseeing deportations and enhancing border security. Additionally, Kristi Noem has been tapped to lead the Department of Homeland Security, solidifying the administration’s focus on immigration enforcement.

Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the transition team, reinforced the administration’s commitment, stating:
“The American people re-elected President Trump by a resounding margin, giving him a mandate to implement the promises he made on the campaign trail. He will deliver.”

Pushback from Blue States

Resistance from blue states is already mounting against Trump’s immigration agenda. Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey has vowed to use “every tool in the toolbox” to shield residents from federal deportation efforts, stating that state police will “absolutely not” cooperate with the operation.

Similarly, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker expressed firm opposition, asserting, I’m going to do everything that I can to protect our undocumented immigrants. Despite this, Pritzker acknowledged federal law limits state intervention, saying:
“Meanwhile, I think it would be very difficult for them to just spread out across the country. They don’t have enough manpower within the Department of Homeland Security in order to carry that out.”

Looking Ahead

As the inauguration nears, Trump’s administration is setting the stage for what could be a defining chapter in U.S. immigration policy. With plans for expanded detention centers, a fortified border, and historic deportation efforts, the nation is poised for significant changes in immigration enforcement.
